Computer Shutdown Day

It is obvious that people would find life extremely difficult without computers, maybe even impossible. If they disappeared for just one day, would we be able to cope?
Be a part of one of the biggest global experiments ever to take place on the internet. The idea behind the experiment is to find out how many people can go without a computer for one whole day, and what will happen if we all participate!
Shutdown your computer on this day and find out! Can you survive for 24 hours without your computer?

Computer Shutdown Day will be celebrated on March 24, 2007. of course, it is Saturday. I got this news from Tech-buzz posted today. In my opinion, this day will disappear after march 24, 2007 or even before march 24, 2007. Anyway, I like their work :)

Displaying Icons next to profile link

You'll see the icons are displaying next to Blogger profile in my comments. This is not blogger hack. I use CSS Attribute Selector method to display these icons and codes are easy to understand.

First, Read CSS Selector from w3 or showing hyperlink cues with cs from askthecssguy.com
Second, embed this CSS codes in your blogger template before </style>.

Why I used A tag after #comment-block ?
Because comments are displaying in div whose id is comments-block in blogger beta. If I don't use it, icon will be displayed in the whole HTML block if A tag starts with "http://www.blogger.com/profile" (you can test without #comments-block. The result will be displayed in view my complete profile if you added about me widget).
first condition, ^= means if HREF value of A tag starts with "http://www.blogger.com/profile/" then change with CSS Style.
second codition, = means if HREF value of A tag equal to http://www.blogger.com/profile/03082304878241507247, that's my profile id then change it. Or you want to add more icons, your friends icons, next to profile link, just copy , paste and change it. for example,

ဦးဇင္းဘခက္တို႕ အမရပူရဆိုတာ ရပ္ကြက္ ပုစုခရုေလးေတြ အလြန္ေပါၿပီး အတိုအထြာ လမ္းအႀကိဳအၾကားေတြ အားႀကီးမ်ားတဲ့ ၿမိဳ႕ပါ။ တခ်ိဳ႕မ်ားဆို ကိုယ္ေနေနရတဲ့ အရပ္ကို ဘယ္အရပ္ထဲပါတယ္ဆိုတာ ေရေရရာရာ သိႏိုင္မယ္ မထင္ဘူး။ ဘာလို႕ဆို ရပ္ကြက္ေတြမွာ အမည္ႏွစ္မ်ိဳး၊ သံုးမ်ိဳးရွိၾကလို႕ပါပဲ။ ဥပမာၾကည့္ေလ၊ ဦးဇင္းဘခက္တို႕ အခု သီတင္းသံုး (ေနထိုင္တဲ့) မဟာဂႏၶာရံုေက်ာင္းတိုက္ႀကီး ဆိုပါေတာ့။ ဆင္စြယ္ပြတ္ရပ္လို႕ ေခၚသလို ပန္းဘဲတန္းရပ္ ဆိုရင္လည္း ဟုတ္ေနျပန္ေရာ။ အက်ၤီတန္းရပ္တို႕၊ ကသည္းေစ်းရပ္တို႕၊ ေရႊသံပုရာ ၿခံရပ္တို႕ဆိုတဲ့ မထင္မရွား အမည္ေလးေတြလည္း ရွိေနပါေသး။

Configuring Feedburner feed for blogger beta

ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႕ blog ေတြမွာ RSS Feed ေတြပါပါတယ္။ RSS Feed ဆိုတာဘာလဲ ? လြယ္လြယ္ ေျပာရရင္ေတာ့ သတင္းနဲ႕ အတင္း နည္းပညာ ေလာကမွာ site တစ္ခုလံုးကို visit လုပ္စရာမလိုပဲနဲ႕ အဲ့ဒီ့ site ရဲ႕ update လုပ္ထားသမွ် news ေတြကို ကိုယ္သံုးေနၾက Feed reader နဲ႕ တစ္ေနရာထဲမွာ ဖတ္ႏိုင္ေအာင္ တီထြင္ထားတာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ (အဲ့ဒီ့ site က RSS feature ပါရင္ေပါ့ေလ။) ပိုသိခ်င္ရင္ RSS Feed အေၾကာင္းကို wiki မွာ ရႉ။ အခုေျပာခ်င္တာက အခု ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႕ သံုးေနတဲ့ blogger မွာ ပါလာတဲ့ default Feed links ေတြကို ကိုယ္ရဲ႕ Feedburner link နဲ႕ အစားထိုးျခင္းပါ။ ဘာလို႕လုပ္ခ်င္တာလဲ။ ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႕ ကိုယ့္ blog ေလးကို ဘယ္သူေတြမ်ား လာလာၾကည့္ၾကလဲ ဆိုၿပီးေတာ့ သိခ်င္စိတ္နဲ႕ statcounter ေလးေတြ sitemeter ေတြ၊ Google Analytics ေလးေတြ ထားၾကပါတယ္။ အဲ့ဒီ့မွာ တစ္ခ်ိဳ႕က ကိုယ့္ blog က ေန႕စဥ္ update မျဖစ္ေတာ့ အခ်ိန္ကုန္ သက္သာခ်င္တာနဲ႕ သူတို႕ သံုးေနၾက RSS Reader ေတြမွာ ကိုယ့္ blog က RSS feed link ကို subcribe လုပ္ၿပီး ဖတ္ၾကပါတယ္။ ဒါဆိုရင္ ေန႕စဥ္ ဘယ္ႏွစ္ေယာက္မ်ား ကိုယ့္ blog ရဲ႕ feed ကို ဖတ္ေနၾကလဲ။ သိခ်င္သလား ? blogger မွာ အဲ့ဒီ့ feature မပါပါဘူး။ အဲ့ဒီ့ feature ေလးတပ္ခ်င္ရင္ Feedburner မွာ Register လုပ္ပါ။ Register လုပ္ပံုလုပ္နည္း ကစလို႕ Feedcount ယူနည္း အဆင့္ဆင့္ကို Screen Snapshot လုပ္ေပးထားပါတယ္။ သင့္ရဲ႕ Blog ကို Browse လုပ္ပါ။ View Source ကိုၾကည့္ပါ။ ဒီလိုမ်ိဳး code ေတြကို ေတြ႕ပါလိမ့္မယ္။

Blogger Template ျပင္ေတာ့မယ္ ဆိုရင္ Edit HTML ဆီသြားပါ။ အရင္ဆံုးေတာ့ ကိုယ့္ template code ကို backup လုပ္ထားပါ။ အႏၱရာယ္ကင္း ေဘးရွင္းေအာင္လို႕ပါ။ Expand Widget Templates Checkbox ကို On ပါ။ ေအာက္က code ကို ရွာပါ။

ဒီ code က အေပၚက code ေတြကို generate လုပ္တာပါ။ ဒီ code ကို ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႕ disable လုပ္ရပါလိမ့္မယ္။ disable လုပ္ခ်င္ရင္ ဖ်က္မဲ့အစား ဒီလိုေလး ေျပာင္းေရးလိုက္ပါ။

ကဲ Save Template လုပ္လိုက္ပါ။ Screen Snapshot ေတြထဲမွာ Feedburner Counter ကို ဘယ္လိုယူရတယ္ဆိုတာ ျပထားပါတယ္။ ေနာက္ဆံုး တစ္ခုကေတာ့ သင့္ရဲ႕ Blog Feed ေျပာင္းသြားၿပီ ဆိုတာကို ျမင္သာေအာင္ လုပ္ပါ။ ဥပမာ ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ Feedlink ေလးက ဒါေလးေပါ့ဗ်ာ လို႕ ျဖစ္ႏိုင္ရင္ ေပၚတင္ေျပာပါ။ ဒါမွ ကိုယ့္ blog ေလးကို ဘယ္ႏွစ္ေယာက္ေလာက္ ဖတ္ေနတယ္ ဆိုတာ သိပါလိမ့္မယ္။ Feedburner count က hourly update ေတာ့ မဟုတ္ဘူးဗ်ာ။ ဒါေပမယ့္ RSS Reader နဲ႕ ဖတ္လာတဲ့သူမ်ားလာတာနဲ႕ အမွ် count ေလးေတြ တျဖည္းျဖည္း တက္လာပါလိမ့္မယ္။

ပြဲေတြမွာ သီခ်င္းေအးေအးေလးေတြ ဆိုေနရင္ပဲ ျဖစ္ျဖစ္ solo အစေလးေတြက ေအးေအးေလးနဲ႕ ၿငိမ့္ၿငိမ့္ ေလးေတြ နားေထာင္ေနရတဲ့ အခ်ိန္မွာ ပရိတ္သတ္က မီးျခစ္ေလးေတြ ျခစ္ၿပီး အားေပးတာကို ျမင္ဖူးၾကမွာပါ။ ဒီလိုမ်ိဳး လုပ္တာဟာ သဘာဝ ပတ္ဝန္းက်င္ကို ထိခိုက္ပါသလား လို႕ ေမးလာတဲ့ အခ်ိန္မွာ

IMified

Imified is an instant messenger buddy that works across all major IM networks . They offer access to a number of web applications, such as 30Boxes , BackPack , BaseCamp , Google Calender , Blogger , Movable Type , Remember the Milk , Typepad , WordPress and including their build-in tools like notes, reminders, and todo's. Signing up in Imfied is easy , just send some messages like 'Hi' or something like this to the following Instant Messengers using your account.

Once you've added in Imified account, you'll see the following menu whenever you login to your IM. (I use gTalk in here). Type number and Bot will reply you automatically with instruction.

There are many reasons using Imified. First, you don't need to use browser to write notes, reminder and post in your blog. Second, it can save time. I think, you'll like this :)

Note: IMified can't support for publishing post in new blogger system.

We have not had the chance to integrate google's new blogger api. We currently support the Gdata Atom Api for blogger username and passwords not google.
This new API was not out when we wrote our Blogger integration. I promise you we'll get the new blogger working soon. Dave replied Can't post to blogger in Imifed forum

ဒီ podcast ဆိုတဲ့ အသံုးအႏွဳန္းေလးကို ေတြ႕ၿပီးကတည္းက စမ္းမယ္ စမ္းမယ္နဲ႕ မစမ္းျဖစ္မိဘူး။ ဒီေန႕ေတာ့ ကိုယ္ပိုင္ podcast ေလး လုပ္ျဖစ္လိုက္တယ္။ podcast လုပ္ရတာ သိပ္ေတာ့ မခက္ပါဘူး။ rss အေၾကာင္းေလး တီးမိေခါက္မိ ရွိတာနဲ႕ ရပါတယ္။ podcast ေလးလုပ္ခ်င္ရင္ ကိုယ္ create လုပ္ထားတဲ့ rss ဖိုင္ေလးထဲမွာ ဒီ tag ေလးထည့္လိုက္ရံုပါပဲ။

Today, I saw blogger's new feature after I published post. This feature has been used in Google Reader for a long time ago. At that time, if you want to share your Google Reader shared items, you need to copy javascript code from Reader and then paste into the blogger's sidebar widget. Let's create a Dynamic Image with PHP

I was so suprised when I saw dynamic image like hetemeel and word verification before I know Image GD Library from PHP. Now I realized that it is easy to create these images after reading gd library from php.net. It uses some line of codes to create dynamic image. But you need to have programming knowledge to understand the following codes.

In order to use Image GD Library, you need to have PHP with php_gd2.dll extension in your web server and of course, you must enabled extension in php.ini located in c:\windows\php.ini or c:\php\php.ini or c:\program files\php5\php.ini. see learn how to configure GD
